All eyes will be on Neeraj Chopra has he winds up his run for the nation in the finals of javelin throw at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. He was the best in the qualifications rounds across both groups and was the only thrower to have breached the 86m mark in the prelims.
Chopra will surely be gunning for the gold, and a medal would be a perfect finale to what would be India’s final day of participation on the penultimate day of the 2020 games.
Also, in contention for the top honors will be Aditi Ashok in the women’s individual golf. She is currently placed second at the end of round 3, and if you consider her performance over the previous three round, she would be hoping to maintain her position and finish with a medal.
If Aditi, does manage to find a find a place on the podium, it would be India’s first medal in Golf, in the history of the games. Alongside Aditi, would be Deeksha Dagar who is currently tied 51st with a score of 220.
In wrestling, Bajrang Punia will hope to for a medal in the men’s 65kg freestyle contest. He will be featuring in the bronze medal playoff.
